The Quays in Gloucester photographed in the run up to Christmas on a Nikon J5
Having received the Nikon J5 camera I was looking forward to playing with it. I had the opportunity to photograph at a vineyard in Henley on Thames in Oxfordshire. Having loaded up all the images in to lightroom, the quality left me very impressed. Considering I was using the old kit lens (10-30mm) from the J1 and 30-100mm the results are very pleasing. I look forward to saving up and getting the 32mm F1.2 lens and see the results from that combination.
I have been happily using a Nikon J1 alongside my DSLR for the last couple of years, a camera that seems to be slated mainly by people who have never used one. I was so happy with mine I took the plunge and upgraded to the Nikon J5. I held back on the J2-J4 models as the image quality didn’t seem to improve that much with the J5 that seems to have changed.
